Acceptance of paper IJIRS

Prof Komal wrote a research paper entitled, “Study of youth shopping motives for apparel with respect to timing of shopping at retail malls” which has been selected for publication at International Journal of Innovative Research and Studies (March 2014 issue)

Best Paper Award @ GTU International conference

Dr Mita and Prof Arti wrote a paper titled “Independence of Independent Directors with respect to Pharma and Health Care sector” in International Conference on Corporate Governance organised by GTU. Their paper was declared as the “Best Paper” in the category of “Independent Directors” and they were awarded a trophy, certificate and cash prize.

SIMSeption

From that one classroom and ad hoc setup to a renowned campus, we have indeed come a long way. SIMS was started in the year 1993 on February 8th and since then the family has constantly worked together to make the institute what it is today. Every year 5th and 6th of February are thereby dedicated to celebrate its years of existence and the fact that year on year SIMS never fails to make a mark in some way or the other. And so it is that time of the year again when we look back at our achievements and plan our future so that SIMS is able to define that limit to the sky which others can only dream about.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT FOR PAPER PRESENTATION

Dr. Asha Nagendra has co-authored 2 papers which have been selected for presentation and publication in the International Conference on “FRANCHISING – A GATEWAY FOR GROWTH” at University of Madras, Chennai in association with FICCI -TN.

Shaping the future of Business and Society

SIMSARC 2013 was graced by international dignitaries including Dr Ann Murphy Dean, Management Department, Metropolitan State College of Denver USA and Prof Peter Stokes ,Deputy Dean ,University of Chester UK. Eminent personalities also included Dr. Kishore Kulkarni, Professor- Economics Metropolitan State College of Denver USA and Dr. Mukul Madahar, MBA Welfare Director Cardiff School of Management Cardiff Metropolitan University UK . A pre-confrerence workshop was conducted on ‘How to develop an effective manuscript’ and‘How to publish in top referred journals’. 57 papers were received including 8 papers by students.
