The 1st round of Compendium, by the Research Cell of SIMS was organized. The Online round was scheduled on September 25, 2017.
Online round consisted of a crossword puzzle and time allotted was 15 minutes.


We are pleased to inform you all that the SIMS swimming team has achieved the following at the SIU Inter Institute Swimming Championship

1. Medley Relay Men – Gold Medal : Malay Balakia, Vikash Sharma, Tushar bhadwal, Pranay Nanda
2. Medley Relay Women : Silver Medal : Sanchita Banerji Natasha Veer, Neha Singh, Nidhi Gopal
3. Freestyle relay Men : Silver Medal : Mayank Desai, Malay Balakia, Vikash Sharma, Pranay Nanda


SIMS Consulting Club organized a Case Study Competition- KURUKSHETRA, that was held on 12th Sept, 2017.




SMark organized its flagship event “4Thought 2017”.
The theme for this year was “Has technology replaced conventional marketing?” It was a panel-discussion.

The success also results from the contributions of many stakeholders who actively participated right from the conceptualization to the successful conclusion of the event.
The event was collectively presented by Noesis Club, Infinite Club, Entrepreneurship Cell and Women’s Cell.


The Pan India case study competition was held on 13th September,2017. The industry sponsored case study enviably engaged participants and challenged their minds to craft potential solutions by harnessing their knowledge on core principles of management. With registrations from a plethora of tier 1 colleges, the competition received an unprecedented and overwhelming response. TATVA 2017 featured a business case study from our sponsor, Choice Group. On the basis of their proposals, 9 teams were shortlisted for the final face-off where Team ZYXT from SIMC emerged as the winner and Team ILTW from SIMC bagged the second prize.

Students at SIMS taking steps to career success through CFA program.

Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies which was setup in 1993 has become the latest Institute to be welcomed at CFA. CFA is a professional credential bestowed by the CFA Institute on financial and investment professionals. Entry of institute in CFA also shows that students of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies are inclined towards professional practice and are well suited to sit for
CFA examinations.

CFA program will help in positioning the students better to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which is one of the most respected and recognized investment credential for finance in the world. The Institute’s MBA – Finance Program incorporates the CFA Program which includes Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of practice. After participating in this program limited students at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies will be eligible for scholarships for CFA program each year. CFA program will bring standard of ethics, education, and professional excellence in the students which will ultimately be beneficial to the society.

SIMS has been ranked 3rd under the category “Top B-Schools by Sector” for its MBA Executive in the country by “CSR-GHRDC” B-Schools Survey 2017.

PGPM Alumni Meet 2017-18

To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the First PGPM Alumni Meet 2017-18, was inaugurated by the Deputy Director of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune, Dr. Pravin Kumar Bhoyar on 7th October, 2017. The Meet started traditionally with welcoming the Alumni followed by more interactive and fun filled management games. The occasion was graced by 23 Alumni and their family members ranging across various batches from different parts of the country.

The Meet was also attended by Dr. Asha Nagendra (PGPM and Ex-PGDM former head) and Dr. Jaya Chitranshi (PGPM head). Dr. Asha Nagendra highlighted the journey of Ex-PGDM to PGPM till date. Dr. Jaya Chitranshi welcomed the Alumni with a brief introduction to Alumni Meet schedule and fondly remembering her association with previous batches of PGPM.

The Meet witnessed active involvement of the Alumni along with commendable suggestions and proposals. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current SIMS PGPM student managers and Alumni by extending their support to current students in the area of training, placement, career counselling etc.

The Meet ended with Dr. Jaya Chitranshi’s poem on Alumni with the promise to meet again. Everyone bid emotional farewell to each other and their beloved SIMS.
In all the meet was electrifying !!!
