As a sincere and an earnest gesture to thank our sedulous security team, housekeeping staff and mess staff for their devout services, the SIMS Women Cell distributed gifts and sweets to the security personnel, housekeeping staff and mess staff on the auspicious
day of Raksha bandhan. An invitation was sent to all the female student managers to come tie Rakh is as a token of gratitude. Male student managers also graced the occasion. Director Sir along with mam were present for the celebrations.

As a heartfelt and a solemn gesture to thank our diligent security team, housekeeping and mess staff for their devout services, the Women’s cell of SIMS organised a Rakshabandhan function where gifts and sweets were distributed to the entire staff. The cell members including few female student managers from the rest of the batch, wishfully tied rakhi to the male staff to thank them for all the hard work that they do.

Our stressbusters at college, the two most lovable, playful and energetic creatures “Franc” and “Ruble” were also tied rakhi by the female student managers.

Our Director, Retd. Brig. Divekar sir graced the occasion with his presence. The whole function was covered by the Editorial and media relations cell.

On the special occasion of Women’s Day, the Women’s Cell of SIMS wanted to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work the female housekeeping staff, security guards and faculty does for the student managers.
We arranged for a movie outing and lunch for our housekeeping staff and security guards. Followed by a fun filled evening of games and refreshments for all the female faculty members of SIMS.

To celebrate the festival of love and togetherness, the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in SIMS campus on 29th Aug 2015 to express our heartfelt thanks our security team, housekeeping staff and canteen staff for their zealous efforts. As a token of gratitude to thank the staff for their selfless services, Rakhis, blankets and sweets were given to the staff with the voluntary contribution from faculty and students of SIMS. The event was graced by Director SIMS and was upported by the student managers.

The Cell holds an annual seminar called ‘Womancipation’ that invites accomplished women personalities from different spheres of life, who have made it big surmounting various obstacles in life, to share their experience with our student managers.In Womancipation ’15, the theme was “Role of Women Executives in Increasing Operational Efficiency of Organization”.

Women Cell of SIMS, truly believes in gender balanced leadership in today’s business environment. The Cell holds an annual seminar called ‘Womancipation’ that invites accomplished women personalities from different spheres of life, who have made it big surmounting various obstacles in life, to share their experience with our student managers.In Womancipation ’14, the theme was “Resuming careers after a life-transition phase”. Prominent leaders from across various industries graced the occasion. Innovation came into play when we introduced case study format before the colloquial. This year the cell organized an Open Hand Combat Self- Defense workshop was conductedby the duo Mr Asif Rahman and Mr Raja Mookherjee from the Open Hand Combat Group. The workshop witnessed an overwhelming response from the lady student managers of Batch 2014-2016. The duo taught thelady student managers the basics of how to defend themselves in dire situations.Besides, on the occasion of RakshaBandhan, the security personnel, mess workers and housekeeping staff were givensweets, gifts and Rakhis. The initiativewas a simple gesture of gratitude and an acknowledgement of their good work. This was an initiativewhere the students and faculty of SIMS contributed in great numbers to make this event successful.

  • Admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International University (SIU) are strictly on merit basis based on the criteria and processes prescribed by the University and assessment of individual performance in Symbiosis National Aptitude Test [SNAP] for Postgraduate Studies and Symbiosis Entrance Test [SET] for Undergraduate Studies.

    All aspirants / parents are hereby notified that some individuals / organisations are giving / making false and misleading advertisements / claims in newspapers, websites, social media platforms that they can ensure admission to Symbiosis International University and also charging heavy amount for the same.

    In this regard, SIU requests the aspirants / parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. SIU has not appointed any individual / agency / organisation to make such assurance on its behalf. It is a matter of Policy that SIU does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, SNAP Booklet, SET Booklet etc.

    Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parents still proceeds with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. SIU further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach SIU for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International University.
