Dr Pravin Kumar Bhoyar is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director in Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) since 2005. He is a BE, MBA, and PhD faculty member in Marketing area. Dr Bhoyar has done his PhD from Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune in the area of Rural Marketing and the title of his thesis was “Constructing a scale to measure effectiveness of FMCG distribution channels in rural market in Maharashtra”. His research areas are marketing and entrepreneurship and has published more than 20 research papers in national and international journals. In SIMS, he is an In-charge of “Centre for Corporate Governance” of National Foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG) New Delhi and “Centre for Entrepreneurship / Program Implementing Agency” of Department of Science of Technology (DST), Govt of India . He was a team Leader in Liability department with IndusInd Bank Ltd Pune before joining SIMS. He was a Principal Consultant for the consultancy projects – 1. Investigating Corporate Governance Practices in to-be-listed SMEs in Pune Region; 2. Ingredients of Successful Succession Planning in Select Companies in Pune Region granted by NFCG were highly appreciated. NFCG is planning to give more such projects to SIMS in future too.

Highlights of the Program:

1. Total 40 participants attended EDP (conducted 8th April – 8th May 2016)

2. 19 participants have become entrepreneurs (Male: 18 & Female: 01)

3. One participant got funding of Rs 50,00,000/- (Rs Fifty Lakhs) from Government of India under BIG and is being incubated at Venture Centre, National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune.

4. Success rate of conversion into Enterprise Establishment is 47% much higher than expected 30%.

5. 19 ventures have created total 63 employments as on 30th January 2017.
