So whether you are trekker, a climber or a nature lover, Backpacker offers wide choice of outdoor and adventurous activities to all lovers of outdoor life.
The Adventure Club also facilitate by offering participation opportunities in Enduro – K2S Race which is organised in Pune. By organising all such events we expose students to the great outdoors, promote team building, spirit of adventure and a sense of responsibility towards the environment and the heritage. We provide a platform to all student managers who want to go for outdoor trips but don’t know the what, where and how.

    • NEF Enduro3 – K2S Race
K2S (Katraj2Sinhagad) is basically an inter-collegiate monsoon night adventure race. The route travels through a series of mountains and hills (more than 15) and approximately (16kms.) which leads to the destination. K2S will test your physical and mental endurance, stamina, fitness. 15 teams (15*3) participated in Enduro3 K2S Race.

    • Theme : Trek to Lohagad

This trek was organised on 27th July 2014. It was the first monsoon trek. Lohgad is around 5 kms from Malawli station, which is just ahead of lonavla. Situated close to the hill station Lonavala and 52 km (32 mi) northwest of Pune, Lohagad rises to an elevation of 1,033 m (3,389 ft) above sea level.

    • Theme :Trek to Rajgad fort
This trek was organised on September 7, 2014. The capital of the Maratha Empire for 26 years during the rule of ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj, Rajgad fort offers spectacular views of Sahyadri Mountains. Rajgad literally means the Royal fort. This fort is very popular among the trekkers and is of moderate difficulty.

    • Theme : Diveagar Beach
Date: 28th Dec 2014 : A beach that shot up in popularity after a serendipitous discovery of a golden mask of the elephant god Ganesha, Diveagar, is a prosperous village located at one end of the triple Raigad beaches. Although the mask unfortunately was stolen from the ‘Suvarna Ganesh’ temple in 2012 the popularity of Diveagar beach did not diminish. 50 students from SIMS were the part of this trip.
